Watch The Wiz Live & The Making of The Wiz

We know what you came to see, but just take a minute and make sure you read the following for important dates for The Wiz Live:

NBC will air an encore telecast of its upcoming holiday production THE WIZ LIVE! on Saturday, Dec. 19 (8-11 p.m. ET).

They will also release the soundtrack on Dec. 11. The song “Home” by Shanice Williams has already been released as a single. However, you’ll have to wait for the rest of the soundtrack, as it will be released for both download and streaming on Dec. 11. You can currently pre-order the soundtrack on iTunes and start listening the moment it’s released.

The DVD of the production will be released on Dec 22. Just in time for Christmas!

All songs from the Broadway production will appear except “I Was Born on the Day Before Yesterday,” which was replaced with the Scarecrow’s big number from the movie version, “You Can’t Win.”

A new song called “We Got It” will be featured in the show, sung by Dorothy, the Scarecrow, the Tin Man, and the Cowardly Lion.
