“Casting for the iconic sub culture hit The Rocky Horror Picture Show is complete. As we previously reported, Laverne Cox has been cast in the pivotal role as Dr. Frank-N-Furter. Excitingly enough Tim Curry who was the original Dr. Frank-N-Furter on stage in 1973 and then starred in the film in 1975, will be joining the cast as the narrator! It’s an exciting turn of events that leaves star Cox anxiously awaiting an opportunity to pick the actors brain as soon as possible.
Honestly, I just want to sit with him and talk and be in the same room with him. His career has evolved and he’s evolved as an artist. It’s just so weird when you’re obsessed with something and then the person is in front of you, so I think that will be really bizarre.
The cast is rounded out by Victoria Justice of Nickelodeon fame as “Janet”, Ryan McCartan from Disney as “Brad” and the character of “Riff Raff “will be played by Reeve Carney of “Spider-Man: Turn off the Dark”. Adam Lambert has been cast as “Eddie”. Lambert is notable for “American Idol” and “Glee”. The show is slated to air in the fall and will be directed, executive produced and choreographed by Kenny Ortega. The two hour special will be also be produced by Fox 21 Television Studios and Berman’s The Jackal Group. Sounds like a great cast to pull off such an iconic show!
